I hope each of you came through Hurricane Harvey unscathed, but I know many of us did not. My heart goes out to those of you whose homes, cars and property were affected or destroyed by flood waters that blanketed the greater Houston area.
I am one of the fortunate ones whose home was not flooded. Yet, like many of you, my daily life is still being affected by high water in many places to the point I still cannot get to my office. Fortunately, I have a home office and continue to work from this space until water recedes and I can once again meet clients at my office.
As I watched the aftermath on TV, my spirits were lifted to see the many volunteers and early responders heroically helping residents evacuate, find shelter and receive food, water, clothing and other service to help them transition to safety and ultimately, recovery. I am again reminded of what a great city we live in and what amazing people live here. We will pull through this and will rebuild our neighborhoods and our communities — always wiser from experiences like this. I’m so proud of Houston!
If I can be of service to you at this time, please don’t hesitate to call me.
